As expected this was a great start to the new term for the boarders. The day was action packed from start to finish and the boys and girls all had a terrific time messing about and getting wet and muddy!
We are very grateful to Mrs Lings who started the day off with a very uplifting service that ensured we remember last year's leavers and thought about how we should live our lives: leaving people and places better than when we found them.

Carsington was magical and full of adventure! The instructors commented on the superb manners of the children and highlighted their have a go attitude. It was the staff I was most impressed with though! Mrs Berry and Mrs Elvin ensured there were no stragglers as they ploughed around the whole lake on their bikes, Mrs Price nursed a very sore back but soldiered on with true British grit whilst Mrs Seddon actually went out on a motor boat to chase the raft builders! Everyone got stuck in.

Then we raced back, did some letter writing and had a slap up supper and still had some time for high jinks with Mrs Northcott before crashing out in readiness for next week.

The children were buzzing with energy and enthusiasm and were just glad to be back together achieving and challenginig themselves. A great first Sunday!
