Weekend Reports

Grandparent Sunday - 7th February

This Sunday, S. Anselm's boarders invited their friends and family to the school and everyone was treated to an afternoon out with their grandparents. We had a full house for the service as three generations of the S. Annselm's family were treated to some lively hymns, readings and prayers that focused on how precious our lives are. Mrs Lings spoke about the cataclysmic events that have threatened life on Earth including the Cuban Missile Crisis and climate change. However, she also spoke of the Christian optimism that the rainbow promise is still there and that God will not allow his world to be destroyed. The Chapel Choir sang beautifully and we must thank those day pupils who gave up their morning to come and sing so wonderfully.

The children had a lovely afternoon out with their families and then an early night in preparation for the last few days before half term.
