'Three Parts Guitar' at Buxton Opera House

A small group of 5th pupils joined Mr and Mrs Weller on a trip to Buxton Opera House to see ‘Three Parts Guitar’. Three guitarists, including Gordon Giltrap (who once came second to Eric Clapton in a ‘best acoustic guitarist’ poll) performed music from all different styles. They also included John Etheridge who played some blues on the electric guitar and Raymond Burley, one of the finest classical guitarists in the country.

The evening was thoroughly enjoyable and will have acted as an inspiration to all of the school’s budding guitarists.
