U10 v Barlborough Hall Lost 25-5

This was a very good performance by the Under 10's , competing well and showing great determination in a very tough physical match. The boys knew it would be a hard match having lost heavily to the same opposition twelves months previous. S. Anselm's had the better of early encounters with some crunching tackles being made especially by Tom D and Ludo L. Tom was unlucky not to score a try being tackled just shy of the try line. Barlborough scored three length of the pitch breakaway tries when the ball bobbled away in contact situations due to the wretched weather conditions. Harvey W was making some rampaging runs backed up well by Bertie S and Angus E. In the scrummage George G, Luke S and George T were rock solid and provided a good supply of ball. Jonah G at scrum half was running the show making some good intelligent decisions and making good ground with some fine attacking runs. Unfortunately Barlborough scored two further tries, but S. Anselm's showed great determination and spirit and responded with a try of their own with Harvey W crossing the line.

This group of players have made huge strides this season and should be proud of what they have achieved, showing real spirit and determination and at no time ever giving in.
