Players of the Match – Lily Hunter & Sophie Judge
It was a super start to the game with Evie Donnelly scoring the first goal just after a minute’s play and a good indication of how the rest of the match was going to unfold.
The team looked more organised since their first game and demonstrated some good passing and strong defending, particularly from Emily Howard and Sophie Judge.
Our 3 forwards again ran tirelessly around the pitch and made many attempts at the goal, some of which were successful and others unlucky or well defended by Grace Dieu.
By half time, SA were leading by 4 – 0 and spirits were high. The score eventually reached 6 – 0 and a good time to intermittently rest some of the players in order to let all of the team have a run. Grace Dieu did score 3 goals at this point despite some very good saves by Laura Drury in goal, however, SA managed to take their final score to 8 after some very determined passing in the D.
Another fine match girls and a good precursor to our game against Foremarke next week. Well done.
