U10 v Smallwood Manor Won 60 -10

S Anselm’s were dominant from the start in this encounter. Our tackling was sound and exemplary by certain players (Will B-B, Harvey W), whilst we showed greater hunger for the ball. We lost our discipline a little in the second half and scoring passes were missed by most players. We need to remember to use our eyes at all times, whatever the scoreboard shows. Certain players also need to work on their tackling if they are to keep their place in this competitive team. Nonetheless, this was an excellent start to the U10’s season, although sterner teats will undoubtedly lie ahead.

Man of the match: Harvey W (good control of the ball, superb tackling).

Things to work on: Holding your position better; rucking over the ball on the ground; tackling!
