From the first centre pass to the last, the S.Anselm's girls had the majority of control in this very fiercely fought game.  Georgie, Teya and Jess in particular did some fantastic running passes down the side lines that Foremarke could simply not reach and had the ball in the goal circle in a matter of seconds many times during the match.

Sky and Annie shot accurately and rarely missed the goal enabling the team to end with a fantastic final score of 1, especially considering the very good Foremarke defence that they were against.  It did however, highlight the need for some practise in getting in front of their defenders but it is early days and based their current performance so early in the season, the whole team can only go from strength to strength.

The defenders of Oonagh, Beth and Georgie intercepted the ball well by good jumping and keeping their eye on the play.  They frequently stopped Foremarke from getting anywhere near the goal circle and managed to gain possession quite a few times by catching re-bounds off the goal ring.  The few times that Foremarke did have a try at the goal were hampered by the defence and simply by not being able to finish the shot.  Their final score being 2.

A brilliant game that the team should be very proud of.  Well done!   JLE
