Players of the Match - Lexi B-D and Lily H
A great game by two very evenly matched teams! The first quarter saw S.Anselm's take the lead with two super goals from Evie D. Grace Dieu were very good at quick passing and interception but when the ball made it into their ‘D’, the defenders, Lexi and Emily, did a fantastic job of gaining possession and making it difficult for the goalies to score.
Lily as Centre was “nippy” in her court coverage and made some lovely passes to the shooters.
The first half ended with S.Anselm's having a 3-1 lead.
The second half continued in the same manner but with Grace Dieu having more shots at goals and achieving a final score of five.
Evie continued her winning streak and along with a goal from Livi, took the final score to seven.
Probably our best match of the season so far but some work is still needed to be done on moving into spaces to receive passes and quicker releases and accurate throwing of the ball.
