U10A v Ranby House Won 12 1/2 - 11

The under 10's had an exciting game against Ranby at home, leading 5 1/2   to 5 rounders after the first innings and 12 1/2  to 11 after the second innings. From the result it is obvious it was a closely fought match, but enjoyable for the girls who played very well together as a team.Georgina T and Emily H scored 2 full rounders and Beth M, Gabby N and Clare T all took full rounders. Clare T bowled very accurately (she gave away very few no balls which is important as two consecutive no balls result in half a rounder for the opposing team and the team accumulated many half rounders from reaching second post or from Ranby no balls. Georgina T played consistently well as back stop and the fielding through the field was tight.Next match we need to concentrate on the fielding play which takes place around our batters, making sure there are limited mad dashes to second post when sticking at first base would be a better strategy.
