Players of the Match - Evie D and Lexi B-D
A super match today! Both teams were very evenly matched although the first quarter saw most of the play in the S.Anselm’s D. Unfortunately, both Evie and Livi were unable to convert their many attempts at goals but they certainly did not let this deter them.
Terra Nova did manage to move the ball into their goal third but gallant defending by Lexi BD, Laura D, Sophie J and Mimi C made this a very difficult task for them.
Lily H moved well around the court covering every spare inch as did Immy N.
The second quarter saw a dramatic turn around with Livi BD scoring two great goals in relatively rapid succession.
There were far more good defensive moves in today’s match although the girls still need to snatch the ball more readily, release the ball quicker and make sure they are running into a space to receive the ball rather than running after the ball.
A definite move in the right direction and one that will hopefully give the team a real confidence boost.
