This was a great competition, with both sides amazingly matched. After a promising start down hill, with Anselm’s dominating the play, the calibre of the opposition keeper was tested. Sadly despite many first half opportunities, Jonah was unable to get the finish on several shots, too frequently the blanket defending resulted in a clearance for The Elms.

The second half continued in similar vein, but with the additional difficulty of having to work up hill. The Elm’s lifted their efforts and began to work the defence hard and test our keeper. Opportunities to score were provided in several penalty corners which unfortunately we could not convert to goals. Man of the match was the team Captain, Harvey.
