Player of the Match – Laura D
The first half was definitely the slower of the two for the SA girls. Unfortunately we had not been able to have a training session since the last game to work on strategies and skills. However, despite this, the second half showed a marked improvement with the girls spreading out more and moving play quicker down the court.
There was some good defending by Lexi and Livi B-D who really made an effort to intercept passes. Laura D did very well picking up loose balls and marking her player. Lily H tried her best to keep up with an excellent opponent, as did Immy N. Due to both girl’s “nippiness”, they do need to try and start dodging in their play a little more often. Evie D claimed four goals for the team and was unlucky not to convert the many attempts that she had. Emily A was also unable to convert her throws but did well finding her position in the D.
A far better game girls – the only way is up!!
