U11 at Rugby School Sevens Tournament

As the results would suggest this Tournament was of the highest calibre with some of the best Rugby playing Schools in the country participating. The S. Anselm’s players seemed overawed by the challenges put in front of them and did not do themselves justice bearing in mind what a fantastic season they have had. Unfortunately in the first two matches too many tackles were missed with the positional play and decision making not of the necessary standard. In the third match against Moulsford the team showed the necessary fighting spirit and commitment that was expected and only had a victory snatched away from them by a last second try by the opposition. For the final two matches the S. Anselm’s team had chances to record wins but the ball was spilled at vital moments. This was a day where many lessons were learnt and the boys all gained from the experience.
