This was not a very good performance. We had periods of pressure but never looked like turning them into goals. At the other end we allowed one quicksilver striker to make three darting raids through a porous defence and score on each occasion.

It is not good to see an essentially talented group of boys repeatedly fall short in a match situation. Unfortunately, we have only had two practice sessions with the full squad so are forever playing catch-up when meeting teams who have been playing all term. Somehow, though, we have to come together and play more as a team in defence. In attack, we have to create chances and end this dearth of goals, or even attempts on goal.
