Player of the Match - Lucy Rusling

What a super start to the rounders season. The match was played on a glorious summer's afternoon away at The Elms. We had a great first innings. The captain for the match was Nancy who did a super job. She bowled accurately and controlled the game from her bowling square very well making good calls to the fielders. Chloe was great on second post and was backed up well by Olivia as second deep. Lucy had a good match at 4th post and Eleanor threw very well as 1st deep. With some good catching and stumping we managed to get the side out. We batted well in the first innings scoring 7.5 to their 3.5.

Although we had already won the game as we came it to bat for the second innings we did not show the same form as we had done previously and only managed to score 3.5. We have to work on our batting sills and tactics before our next match.

At the end of the match The Elms team chose Lucy as Player of the match for both her fielding and batting.
