U11A /B v Oakham/Ashdell Won 20 - 0 Drew 6-6

This afternoon saw a very exciting triangular match played in the sports hall. Every third year girl had chance to play a minimum of half a game for their school.

The first game saw S. Anselm's A team take on Oakham. The girls gained in confidence throughout every quarter and by the end of the third quarter they were unstoppable. We brought on the B team for the final quarter to try to even up the score which was already 20 - 0. Much to the credit of the B team neither team managed to secure a goal in the final quarter resulting in a lands slide victory to S. Anselm's.

Oakham then took on Ashdell. This was a much slower game where Ashdell came out on top with a score of 10-1.

The third and final game of the afternoon was Ashdell A team against our B team. The Ashdell girls soon took the lead and maintained this lead throughout the game. With a few changes to position in the final half we managed to even the score in the final quarter to finish with a 6-6 draw. Well done to all girls especially the B team who were playing their first game of the season.
