What a privilege to umpire the U11A team, thanks Mrs Young! After losing the toss, we were put in to bat and quickly notched up several rounders, with Nancy S, Olivia C, Lucy R and Gabby T all hitting the ball powerfully and placing their shots around the field, (often down the bank!) After fielding tightly we had kept the Grace Dieu score down, but a few slips in concentration during the last 10 balls saw them clinch a few half rounders. The half time score saw us slightly ahead. After another strong batting innings we went on to field with focus and determination, determined not to undo the good work. I was particularly impressed with the communication and encouragement between the team members. Grace Dieu scored a further 2½ rounders, unable to match our further 8. A great team effort by all, what a team and what a way to end the season, well played all!
Player of the Match = Nancy S for excellent bowling and scoring consistently when batting, well done!
