Well – it wasn’t snowing! Hooray! Great captaincy from Oonagh who made sure the BH guests were welcomed and then made some very sensible suggestions to help re-arrange the squad in Georgy’s absence. We played four quarters of ten minutes each. The girls took a little while to settle into their game and had a slower than usual first quarter. However, momentum gathered a pace and the game picked up; with some fluid moves across court enabling us to pull away with our goal differential. Annie G-P and Arabella H continued their season with their superb partnership as the two shooters – they read the game very well and were very in tune with each others’ movements around the court. Oonagh S stepped into Georgy’s shoes well as GD. Sky U demonstrated some excellent goal saving interceptions as GK and strong throws out of the danger area. It was lovely to see all the girls mingling with the opposition at the match teas with much chatter and merriment. Well done to everyone and we look forward to welcoming Georgie H back after injury. Thank you to the supporting parents.
