S. Anselm's WON : 18 - 16

POM Francesca F for her excellent interceptions and snatches against one of the strongest members of the Foremarke Hall team.

This was a hard fought victory against a strong opposition with the final result not secure - it really could have gone either way! The SA girls did very well to always hold on to their lead, although Foremarke came back strong every quarter to chip away at the differential - the final whistle came in the nick of time!

Credit for the result has to go to each and every girl who played - the team worked well together being encouraging and supportive throughout, whilst being competitive but sporting to the visitors. Olivia captained her side very ably and showed some super shooting skills - popping the ball through the net on many eagerly anticipated occasions. Gabriella also shot extremely well, especially in the later quarters often under some tense pressure as the visitor's scoreline edged ever closer - well done to her for holding her nerve! Chloe maintained her usual excellent work rate and as always proves invaluable both in attack and defence. Lilly S played a very competent game too with some strong passing and good reading of the game. A very positive base on which to build - with tighter marking being an area for some focus.
