U11A v Hill House Won 17 - 13

Player of the Match – Georgina T

After a rather late start due to a mini-bus swap on the way the final game was on for the U11A. 

They elected to field after winning the toss and limited Hill House well to 6 rounders. Clare T’s bowling was on top form and the fielding was very good. Despite a few fumbles, 4 of the Hill House girls were either caught out or stumped out. Georgia R directed play well from 2^nd deep and it was noticeable how all the girls worked extremely well as a team.

Unfortunately, Hill House did have trouble with their bowling and after approximately 5 different bowlers had had a go they had given away 4.5 half rounders giving SA a substantial help with their total of 9. This was only an addition to 2 full rounders and 5 half rounders earned by the team themselves through good sprinting and risk taking to both 2^nd and 4^th post.

The Second innings again saw Hill House have 3 girls stumped out at 2^nd or caught – Imo C and Georgia R both taking great catches. Their final score was 13 putting the pressure on SA for a win to complete their unbeaten season.

Again, quite a few half rounders were gained by no-balls but the majority were achieved by the girls themselves, Jess, Elsie, Imo, Poppy and Emily H all hitting and running well. The highlight, however, was the last ball to Georgina T (who unfortunately was playing her last game for SA before she starts her new school in September). Helped by a solid hit, Georgina ran brilliantly past all the posts and thanks to a bit of mis-fielding, managed to end the game on a rounder.
