A super performance by our under 11A, who dominated this game from the offset. Their passing was strong and they worked hard to find spaces on the court. The passing into the D by Jess RS and Beth D was super; with Annie GP and Arabella H scoring some great goals – they are really finding their shooting form, the practise is paying off girls. Oonagh S and Georgy H were once again formidable in defence, marking their opponents tightly and timing their interceptions impeccably. Arabella A and Ella N also grew in confidence throughout the game, assisting the flow of the ball down the court and snatching lose balls.
The girls are keen and determined, but must now remember to keep to the tactic of strong, direct passes, particularly when playing against taller opposition. Loopy passes are easy to intercept, so let your feet do the work girls and keep dodging into those spaces throughout all four quarters. The centres are beginning to work well, going like a dream on occasion, but we must remember to keep to the set moves practised, so everyone is in the right place at the right time.
The Foremarke Hall Tournament will be a good opportunity to test ourselves against strong opposition, so far this has not happened. We must remember to keep our heads, even when the going gets tough, as some of these schools play netball in both terms, so will have had more chance to gel as a team.
