Sedbergh won the toss and chose to bat first. After a cautious start, the opening pair started to score freely, despite some tidy bowling from George M and Jonah G in particular. After 30 overs Sedburgh were on 153 for the loss of one wicket, an excellent catch taken by W B-B from George M's bowling. After tea, S Anselm’s came out to bat and promptly lost captain George M first ball. The wickets fell fast and S Anselm’s were all out after 11 overs for 21 runs. S Anselm’s did not play badly, and their fielding was very good on the whole. They were beaten soundly by a much better team and they will have learnt from the experience.
