Player of the Match - Georgy Harrison
I can think of no better start to this match report other than to quote Mrs Heap who said that the girls “were on fire!”
The best match todate for both fielding and batting by the U11A team. The girls convincingly took the lead after the first innings (12.5 to 7) after some very well placed hits and good strong running. To add to this there were three exceptional catches by Beth, Georgy and Annie and decisive throwing to Arabella on 4th post.
The second innings for batting was as impressive as the first with some big hits seeing the girls obtain four full rounders and six half rounders.
Fielding remained tight for Sheffield’s final bat and 3 consecutive batters were stumped at second post largely due to good blocking by Georgy H and the quick reactions of Annie GP.
An excellent match girls – keep it up!
