U11 A Team

The U11A team got off to a flying start to the season with an impressive victory over a very tall Elms team.

A few errors were made in the opening minutes, including some careless passes that were easily intercepted by the opposition. However they soon found their form and were clearly a much more skilled team. Having only had a couple of practice sessions this term, they had clearly listened to the tactics and skills taught and these were really evident within the game. Well done girls, if you make this much progress each week you will be unstoppable!! Chloe's ability to intercept the ball despite her size was truly amazing! 
Gabriella had an outstanding game. She worked extremely hard for every ball and covered much of the centre and goal thirds. She has developed a super shooting partnership with Olivia that took my breath away on several occasions. They read each other's signals well and passed skilllfully. Both players rarely missed their shots at goal.

The defence needs some work over the coming weeks. Marking needs to be much tighter and more accurate throwing is needed along with a greater determination to get the ball.
