Definitely the best match we have had this season!

The first half started quite slowly with both teams getting used to playing a match on grass.  Play was very end to end and, unfortunately, still largely down the middle of the field!

Out substitute goalie, Emily A, made some great saves with the help of the Backs, Lexi and Livi BD who cleared the ball with confidence.

With the end of the first half approaching, the SA forwards scored an absolutely text-book goal with a powerful hit to the top of the D then a strong pass to the side where Immy N was able to send it straight into the back of the net.

Spirits were very high at the start of the second half. Play continued to be end to end but the SA forwards had now really found their form. Emily H, Lily H, Evie D and Immy N really pushed hard and between them scored 3 goals in quick succession.

Unfortunately, The Elm’s girls had also found their form and also scored 3 goals despite the best efforts of the SA defence.

Thankfully our goal in the first half secured a well deserved win for SA. A fantastic match but still more play to the wings and communication needed.
