U11A v Wellow House Won 2-0

It was good to win after two successive defeats. It may now be a good idea to stop this report because there’s little else to say which is positive.
However, to reflect the match fully it’s necessary to add that it was an awful game, scrappy and disjointed, lacking any flow or decent football. The pitch didn’t help, simply too small with tiny goals, but our team didn’t deal with the conditions at all. Control was poor, the passing was dreadful, shots were missed and a succession of well-taken corners came to nothing.
Looking on the bright side, we dominated the game. Ollie in goal only touched the ball four times; Lewis and Andy did their usual defensive jobs with resolve and reliability. However, there’s a great deal of improvement to be found before next week’s six-a-side tournament.
