U11A v Wellow House won 5-2

U11A v Wellow House won 5-2

Another long journey once again for our U11 girls, this time it was to Wellow House. Even though we arrived a little late, it didn’t take us long to find our form.
Ella N was the first to score a very impressive goal and she positioned herself perfectly throughout, picking up all the balls fed through to her from our halves.
Annie G-P scored the second with Arabella H following closely with the third goal. The final moments of the first half resulted in another goal from Annie G-P.
The pitch (having unfortunately been trampled on by horses!) was clearly very difficult to play on and there were numerous holes for the ball to disappear into!
The second half saw Wellow step up the pace and their CF really came to life. At first our backs looked a little intimidated and their club player scored two feisty goals. Sky U also made some great saves – with her hand and by lifting her pad up to control a high ball. However, it wasn’t long before our defence found their confidence once again and made some strong tackles.
Arabella S played incredibly well throughout the game and has developed superb style when dribbling the ball. She also captained the team tremendously well.
We had numerous attempts to score in the second half which eventually resulted in Arabella H finding the goal. The last 5 minutes were the most competitive and provided a thrilling end to our game.
Wellow House looked a little disappointed during their ‘three cheers’ as this was their first loss of the season – which highlights how strong our U11 girls are becoming.
Well played all of you!
