U11A vs Hill House Lost 28 - 14

Man of the match: Toby C

The beginning of this match promised much.  Territorially we dominated whilst also managing to keep hold of possession well.  Our commitment at the break down was good and we handled the ball well.  Our early pressure led to a try for Ludo L. that was converted by Angus E.  Unfortunately we took our foot off the pedal somewhat from this point and allowed Hill House very much back into the match.  They grew in confidence and we started to lose our shape a bit.  This allowed Hill House score their first try, again converted, to level the game.  We never really managed to get our drive back and Hill House were now putting us under a lot of pressure.  In the end this pressure resulted in a second try for Hill House, meaning they led 14-7 at half time.

The second half started with Hill House gaining the upper hand early on and managing to score another two converted tries.  Injuries were starting to hamper us now as Angus E. had to come off.  It took until the final few minutes for us to regain our attacking intent and Hamish O. slipped over for our second try.  In the end we lost 28 – 14.
