U11B v Derby Grammar School U10 Won 3-1

S.Anselm’s recovered from being behind, 0-1, at half time, to win this match 3-1. It was a case of remembering what brought us the success at Foremarke on Wednesday as the first half saw us trying to blast the ball forward, with little success, but we passed the ball so much better after half time. Suddenly the skills of Matthew N and Lewis J were put to good use and three of our players scored in the second half. Nick T was again very much in the action and performed well in goal, but man of the match goes to Cameron D who cleared the ball so well from defence and took part in some good attacking moves. Having had such a good games session on Friday, and with the ‘A’ team short of defenders, you’re as likely as anyone for promotion. Well done! Theo H led by example and scored too whilst Bertie W’s experience was important. The Grosvenor ‘B’ team match in 10 days time will be on the Cope pitch … if you’re not in the ‘A’ team 9-a-side on the Tunbridge!
