UNDER 11 'B' RUGBY v GRACE DIEU (Away)

RESULT: Lost 28-0
With only one squad practice; competing against a team who were playing their 3rd fixture; travelling over 50 miles and combating some atrocious weather at times, this was all part of the rich tapestry of life's experiences and the rugby was not bad either!
After an understandably shaky start, when a try was too easily given away, they started to compete better and show more awareness and organisation. The team clearly possesses some elusive runners and good handlers but they will need to play more as a unit; inter-pass better and show in particular greater continuity between backs and forwards. Hopefully these skills will develop as the season progresses and there is much to be optimistic about as these youngsters embark on their journey through rugby.
Heartily, everyone played to the last whistle, nobody lost any kit and they all enjoyed the occasion - not least the mammoth tea afterwards - and they were all excellent representatives of the school. Well done and thank you.
