U11B v The Elms Won 3-0

U11B v The Elms Won 3-0

Player of the Match  Yasmin D & Grace F

It was certainly a cold but thankfully sunny day for the match.  The girls were nicely warmed up and eager to play what turned out to be a very enjoyable game.

The first half started with a lot of play up and down the pitch although the SA girls seemed to have possession for most of the time but could simply not get through the Elm’s defence.

The forwards took every opportunity to move into the D and after and determined 10 minutes, Yasmin D scored the first goal, ably aided by Izzy F, Lydia G and Sophia D, who all never appeared to stop running at all throughout the game.

The defences of Gabriella N, Grace F and Belen were very strong and made some lovely powerful hits away to the sidelines when the ball crossed into their territory. Tikara Harrison in the goal also managed some great saves when the ball beat the Backs

After a short but amusing interlude when Gabriella managed to break the match ball in half with a great hit, the SA girls sealed their win nicely by Yasmin scoring a further two goals in the 3rd and 6th minute.

It was a pleasure to see how the girls have developed with their confidence and ability since last year.  Keep it up!
