U11B v Westbourne Lost 33-24

This was a fast-flowing 7-a-side match in which S. Anselm’s ended up narrow losers.  Both sides played with a lot of spirit and tenacity, although they were both guilty of dropping off vital tackles at key moments.  There was also rather too much solo running, in which the ball carrier became isolated.  However, the rucks and mauls were keenly contested and there were some excellent break away tries.  James L in particular proved very difficult to stop once he had found a bit of open space.  Mention also must go to man of the match Henry T for his committed approach to the rucks and mauls.  At one point he drove the opposition back down the field from one 22 to another!  A text book example of driving with a low body position!
