U11C v Longstone Primary School B Drew 1-1

Longstone showed more control over the ball with deft touches and skill, we played more as a team and appeared to have greater match experience. Dominic H was the player of the match, contributing both in attack and defence- running everywhere and putting in some soild tackles. Bertie S and Monty H were quick to the ball, George T battled hard down the left wing, whilst Lewis S was reliable at the back and Toby P made some important clearances. Nick T was brave in goal and played such an important role in allowing us to hold onto our lead for as long as we did.

I was very pleased that we put to good use throughout the points I made before the match: throw ins,defensive clearances, players back behind the ball when we lose possession, use the wings when we gain possession etc. It made such a difference to the result. Well done!
