U12A v Denstone College Lost 8-1

This was a wake up call for the U12A team. Denstone were a good side but S.Anselm's did not rise to the challenge and failed to compete in the 1st half and found themselves losing 6-0 at half time. The ball was given away far too easily, the boys were not keeping their positional discipline and were weak in the tackle. John W was far too often left exposed and had no chance of saving any of the goals. After harsh words by the coaches at half time the boys reponded and started to win 50/50 balls and played with some pride. Charlie H scored a consolation goal , but Denstone added two goals to their tally and recorded a comfortable 8-1 victory.

The boys have to play with pride and passion in the matches ahead if they are to get improved results, the opposition will not get any easier.
