Half time = 0 - 0
We had a bad start to the game, battling away through the first half, we dominated in attack, but once again could not finish off the ball into the goal. We tended to use the middle channel again, not sending the ball out to the wings and also tried to go through players on the stick side, instead of using the stick skills we have been taught. Half time saw us receiving another stern talking to, this time from Mrs Northcott. In the second half we were kept in the game by goalie Imo, who stood her ground when faced with several one on one situations with the Denstone attack. She proved to be formidable, coming out from her goalie line to succesfully put off the Denstone player and save the goal. Clare and Elfie worked well together to bring the ball up the pitch and Amelia W handled her relocation to CF impressively, working hard to thrust the ball into the D. Just before time, Poppy S cleared one of Imo's kicks from out of the D, sending the ball powerfully up the wing, where it was collected by Georgia R, who dribbled into the D and smacked it firmly at the goal with a resounding thud, 1 - 0 to us! A positive end to a game which we definitely dominated, a good effort girls but a few more goals next time please!
