Well done to all the girls here for a truly team effort - it was very difficult to select the eventual PoMs as every team member played so well. That said the two who were chosen just managed to nudge ahead. Amelia H demonstrated some super shooting against a much taller girl, very cleverly dodging and weaving around her opponent to pop the ball through the net. Allie H worked hard throughout the game with some key interceptions and was praised by the opposition coach for all her goal saving snatches and ball grabs around the court.

Grace B captained the team very well with a key inspirational talk after the third quarter. At this point, although in many ways it was lovely to see the pleasure they were getting, the girls were enjoying themselves to such an extent that they had lost their focus almost completely. Freya H proved herself as a very useful link between some centre court play and getting the ball in to the GS - as well as a few goals herself. Hattie H and Jemima W worked very well together  with some key teamwork and passing across court, making spaces and marking well. Thanks to go to Millie C for understanding the reasons behind why she couldn't play half a match for the A's as planned (location of courts) and for playing on so well and so stoically despite a sore ankle!

It was a pleasure to watch and well done to everyone involved. Keep practising the shooting and the goal differential next time will be a fairer reflection of the skills the team has!
