Today has once again been a splendid performance from the U13VII team. It has been particularly impressive that the girls have worked together, supported each other and been determined to make new tactical moves work. Of which they certainly displayed at the tournament!
Throughout the tournament, key attacking and defensive moves were used. Georgina H and Annie G-P were solid in defence, they were controlled, tackled hard and delivered the ball out or on occasions when necessary they attacked the D brilliantly. Well done to both girls! Jessica R-S looked sensational in the centre channel today, attacked, defended but also worked so well under pressure which allowed key goals to be scored. Ella N caused a few problems for the opposition on the post and in attack mode, particularly with her confidence with her individual stick work and shots on goal from post position. Along with Arabella A gaining a key midfield position throughout the tournament and scoring with such motivation in the 4th game to ensure that she lifted her game for the remainder of the tournament. Arabella H worked the ball well both in defensively and particularly in attack. She was a key player today which added not only strength within the team as a whole but also when the shots really mattered on target, they were certainly delivered with force. Well done! A player that has also been crucial in the U13VII team is Alice S as GK. She was reactive, up for the hard shots that were on target and eager to save the match! She was amazing! It was certainly fantastic today to see a team working as a key unit that is so strong in defence, midfield and forward positions. A great day had by all and lots to look forward to.
It was lovely to see our parents as always supporting our super girls, thank you!
