S. Anselm's U13A team went through as winners overall to the National Finals in Brighton
Well done to all the U13A squad for a very successful day!
After a useful team talk at 9 am in the sportshall, 1 ½ hours prior to the first whistle the team were ready for action and in good spirits.
The weather conditions were perfect and Captain Hannah S and her team were looking forward to a full day of top netball.
Overall all the matches were played in an extremely competitive manner. However a key element of the day was that the girls played solid attacking netball when they had possession but also put pressure on marking man to man when they had to make interceptions. There were so many highlights throughout the day, all the girls played brilliantly in their own right. But the area that ensured success for the S. Anselm's team was coping with pressure from the opposition. Mrs Northcott was SO proud of the team and congratulations to all players - Next challenge is the netball finals in Brighton - GOOD LUCK GIRLS - just play your own game. A win would be nice but whatever the outcome, Mrs Northcott is the proudest coach in the UK. Thank you for playing so well in the Regionals - go now and produce your top form in the Finals.
