Our U13/12 Reds did not get off to the best of starts on Wednesday, perhaps they had spent too long warming up and had gone off the boil by the time the Trent team arrived; but after the first quarter they found themselves trailing 0 - 10. They took each quarter as it came and shooters Jess P and Issy F managed to add to our team's total in each of the other three quarters, but did not manage to be on parr with the accuracy of the Trent shooters. More break time practice is required please girls.

The girls allowed themselves to be intimidated by the physical play and height of the opposition, and it would be true to say that they did not play as well as they have in their previous two fixtures. We were slow to switch from attack to defence mode and tried to rely on overheads instead of dodging for the ball - remember all you have been taught in training girls.

On the plus, Fran B marked her partner tightly and timed her interceptions well, never giving up desspite the strength of the Trent goal shooter. Emilie B continues to impress and is making formidable progress for a girl who has only just begun playing the game. Her work inthe middle third was impressive. Karina RC also worked hard in defence and had many tips on the ball.

Heads up girls and don't let one loss undermine all of the progress and fantastic results you have had so far this season, let's all be firing on all cylinders in the next game though please. Thanks to Mrs Dobson for umpiring the team for this game.
