Player of the match – Poppy M for excellent accurate throws, good stumping and superb batting. 

A good result ina game that saw our girls dominating play from the offset. Our fielders were quick to collect the ball, although we did not always take every opportunity to go for catches, allowing the ball to bounce first. Once a again Georgie H threw some excellent balls in to stop the full rounders. Nancy, Poppy, Freya and Georgie did take and hold some good catches and Nancy tested the batters with some superbly fast bowling. Batting wise we tested the Mt St Mary’s deeps, finding good gaps in the field and putting them under pressure to turn potential half rounders into full ones, by causing them to make mistakes.

In the second innings we only needed half a rounder to win the game, with Mt St M equalising our first innings score after their second bat. We managed this off the first ball, so with the pressure off we could really enjoy the innings and work on directing our shots.
