A super opportunity to play some astro hockey on the Repton pitches. Good to see some gritty play against a side that we were initially a bit intimidated and overwhelmed by. Having identified the key play maker in the opposition our backs, Erin S and Ella R, put in a valiant effort to close her down - so successfully in fact that there was no score at all from her in the second half - well done girls - and Ella nursing a bump too. Jess P and Fran B were jointly awarded PoMs through some impressive play. Jess P was dogged in her determination to win back the ball and put in tackle after tackle after chasing down and hassling the opposition. Fran B saved goal after goal with some super clearances and some thoughtful shouts from her positioning perspective. The girls faced a stronger side with more depth and spread in their squad - but nevertheless put in a great effort and managed to draw the second half! Well done to everyone and thank you to the supporters.
