The end score is not a fair indicator of the closeness of the game. Both teams had their opportunities to score, with Trent managing one goal in the first half. Both Isobel H and Issy F came close for us on a number of occasions. Jess P and Ella R did some sterling work as mids bringing the ball up the pitch and feeding it forward. Grace F and Erin S both worked hard in defence to make tackles and clear the ball. 

Part way through the second half Trent scored their second goal, but we continued to attack with determination and Ella R's super run with the ball resulted in her feeding the ball into the D and Issy F finishing it off soundly into the goal.

After more end to end play Trent began to apply more pressure, resulting in their 3rd goal and this led to a boost in their confidence and resulted in our girls' heads going down. The last 3 goals were scored in quick succession in the last 5 minutes of the game. Our girls appeared to run out of steam, allowing Trent to breakthrough into the D and remain largely unchallenged. For the majority of the game they battled hard, but now need to keep tackling and challenging the opposition for the entire game. Nonetheless a good try girls and valiant effort for the majority of the game. Thanks to all of our supporters for their encouragement.
