An excellent win for the Under 9 girls in their first match. Clare T played consistently well throughout the match both in terms of her fielding, bowling and batting. Both teams had a very enjoyable afternoon on a lovely sunny afternoon. Georgina T played well at backstop and backed up 4th post preventing two rounders being scored. The children playing in deep positions had very little to do and most of Ranby were out at 1st post. The position was shared by Emily H and Gabby N and both made some good stumpings. The team as a whole must practise their catching and must get out and practise their batting in break times. The team must also remember to take a risk on the last ball of an innings as they have nothing to lose.
