The S.Anselm’s team had learned a great deal from their first match the previous week and this showed with better team play, improved tackling and ball handling. Once again the boys faced good experienced opposition, who were big and fast. Toby de la B, Sam W and Marcus K battled bravely putting in some crunching tackles, but could not prevent Ranby scoring three tries before Sam W scored a great try. Arthur L, George L, Max H, and Alexander S all improved throughout the match making some good runs and putting in some good tackles. Ranby however scored two further tries. S.Anselm’s never gave in and managed to score two more tries of their own, Sam W completing a hat trick.
A better performance and plenty of promise for the future.
