U9A v Ranby House lost 5-3

Under 9A Football versus Ranby House - Home, Monday 23rd February 2009, LOST 5-3

This was the Under 9's first competitive match and they had little practice. S.Anselm's had 5 Transition boys playing a year young and they all gave good accounts of themself. Captain Harvey W showed a fine example to the rest of the team having a marvellous match. Ranby scored 3 goals in the first half with Hamish O'R pulling a goal back just before half time. The score at half time was 3-1 to Ranby House. There were 2 further goals from Ranby in the second half with S.Anselm's battling hard also scoring two goals through Harvey W including a penalty. The final score was a 5-3 defeat but a determined effort by a young team.
