U9B v Ranby House lost 3-2

Under 9B Football versus Ranby House - Home, Monday 23rd February 2009, Lost 3-2

A fine performance by the Under 9 B's who never gave up and battled all the way. Ranby took an early lead but there was then some end to end football but there were no further goals before half time.Ranby extended their lead to 2-0 shortly after the break. S.Anselm's then seemed to wake up and there was some determined play from TomD, Cian B, George T and Henry L. Eventually the pressure told and S.Anselm's pulled a goal back. Then, when S.Anselm's were pushing for an equaliser,  Ranby broke out and extended their lead to 3-1, S.Anselm's didn't give up and Henry L scored another fine goal. S.Anselm's tried their hardest to equalise but couldn't manage to do so before the final whistle blew. A fine battling team performance.
