PLAYER OF MATCH: LAURA M
This was our final match of a very successful season, which saw us away, outside and unfortunately battling against the elements - horrendous rain. We were not used to these conditions yet gave it our best shot. In the first quarter, Ranby gained much of the possession but we defended well and kept the score down to only 3 goals. The second quarter was a different story however, we were not catching the ball or positioning ourselves correctly i.e. finding space or getting in front of Ranby players and they intercepted many of our passes. They successfully fed the ball to their shooters, who managed to score 9 goals - one a minute! We only allowed them a measly 3 goals in the third quarter, yet we were still to score. The pace really picked up in the last quarter and we began to look like the winning team we had been throughout the season. We defended very well, particularly Laura M and Livi BD and were giving ourselves space to make those all important catches. Unfortunately our score did not reflect our standard of play as we only managed to clock up 2 goals but we did at least, recover some integrity!
It has been a great terms Netball and we have seen some lovely play with all girls involved - what more could anyone ask for?!
