Worksop College Cross Country 2011

On a beautiful crisp sunny afternoon twenty five runners travelled to Worksop College with optimism.

The Under 11 Girls were first to run and set the tone for the rest of the afternoon with all six girls running magnificently, Georgina T winning the race a tremendous achievement and they managed to win their team competition against nine other schools, successfully defending the trophy won last year.

The Under 11 Boys tried their hardest against some very experienced and good runners, the team finished a very creditable 6^th out of 13 teams

The Under 13 Girls drew inspiration from their younger counterparts and all seven girls finished in the top 30 and they finished third out of 6 schools

The Under 13 Boys were last to run and the boys ran bravely and with plenty of endeavor and with five boys still eligible next year the prospects are bright and they finished 4^th of 7 schools.

All of the results from the four races are then pooled and an overall school team winner emerges. The magnificent running by all 25 girls and boys was rewarded by fourth position, a fantastic effort, well done.
