WORKSOP COLLEGE PREPARATORY SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY
TUESDAY 2nd MARCH 2010
On a beautiful crisp sunny afternoon twenty four runners travelled to Worksop apprehensively.
The Under 11 Girls were first to run and set the tone for the rest of the afternoon with all six girls running magnificently and they managed to win their team competition against ten other schools, the first time S. Anselm’s had won this trophy in the six years the competition has been run.

The Under 11 Boys tried their hardest against some very experienced and good runners, the team finished a very creditable 5th out of 11 teams

The Under 13 Girls drew inspiration from their younger counterparts and all six girls finished in the top 20 and they were pipped to the team title by just one point finishing runners up out of 7 schools

The Under 13 Boys were last to run but what a finale this was with Seth A managing to win the race which was a fine reward for his wholehearted efforts.The other boys ran out of their skins finishing 3rd of 8 schools.

All of the results from the four races are then pooled and an overall school team winner emerges. The magnificent running by all 24 girls and boys was rewarded by the runners up position, the best ever by S.Anselm’s a fantastic effort, well done.
