After the Carol Service I was approached by Keith Butter about the attempt by Richard Noble’s team who hold the world land speed record initially with Thrust and later with Thrust SSC which broke the sound barrier. Thrust SSC was driven by Andy Green who at the time was stationed at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.
They now are planning to attempt to break 1000mph with BLOODHOUND SSC. Mr Butter has kindly made a donation to the project in the name of S Anselm’s, which will now appear – all be it very small – on the tail fin of BLOODHOUND SSC.
